Planning a vacation in the United States? The great thing about travelling in the states is that every state is so different- you could travel every state and never see the same scenery twice.
The US is also a great option for solo travellers, couples, and families. Whether you want to party in Vegas or visit Mickey Mouse in Florida, there’s a city or town to suit everybody.
Here are a few top places to go on vacation in the United States:
Florida
While most people would narrow this down to one spot like Orlando, the entire state is super family-friendly and If you have kids, this will be a once in a lifetime trip they’ll always remember. Florida is jam-packed with things to do, from screaming your lungs out at Universal Studios to enjoying the “it’s a small world” ride at Disney World and seeing a bunch of animals at Animal Kingdom.
But it’s not just Orlando that makes Florida such a must-visit. Miami is a fun destination itself, with plenty to do and see (and some beach time for mum and dad). You’ll also love the Everglades where kids can see alligators and learn about wildlife, and Key West which has incredible sunsets.
Yellowstone
With pristine lakes and dramatic peaks, Yellowstone National Park is the place to go if you love the outdoors. You’ll see volatile geysers, verdant forests, and multicolored pools. With more than 3,000 square miles of waterfalls, canyons, and mountains, you may need to be prepared to share the trails with other residents like elk, buffalo, and the occasional grizzly.
More than 4 million people visit Yellowstone every year, but you’re unlikely to see many other visitors- Yellowstone encompasses 2.2 million acres from the edges of Montana and Idaho to the northwest corner of Wyoming. Be sure to visit Mammoth Hot Springs and Yellowstone Lake while you’re here.
Honolulu
Oahu manages to blend breathtaking scenery with cosmopolitan luxury more than any of the other islands in Hawaii. And the capital city, Honolulu is an excellent showcase of the urban appeal of the island. You’ll find plenty of historic and cultural sites nearby, from the USS Arizona Memorial to the incredible Iolani Palace.
While you can stay in the resort-packed Waikiki, there are also plenty of places to get off the beaten path, like the North Shore.
These are just three of the top places to visit on your next vacation to the United States. Of course, you could also easily travel up the East Coast, visiting cities like New York, Boston, and Washington D.C, or get some fun in the sun in California.
