Where to Travel in 2018

By Dean Shaw · On December 22, 2017

Wondering where to travel next? We’ve got some interesting destinations to ease your wanderlust. Here’s where you should travel in 2018:

Santa Marta Colombia

This is Colombia’s oldest city, and while it’s not the first choice for most people exploring Colombia, it’s definitely worth visiting if you love sun and sand. Be sure to head to the El Rodadero beach where you can swim in the Caribbean sea. The food is great here, with many different street food options to choose from, and the area is well known for the many rooftop restaurants and the buzzing nightlife.

With a little research, you’ll be able to find some cheap flights, making this an excellent option if you’re hoping to travel somewhere a little different.

Tarana. Albania

Albania is a completely underrated destination, and its capital Tirana is rich in history and tradition, with a growing cafe culture. This makes it one of the most up and coming cities in the region waiting to be explored in 2018. Check out Skanderbeg Square, which is the best spot if you’d like to catch some of the events and concerts taking place throughout the year.

Oaxaca, Mexico

Love street food? You’ll love Oaxaca City. This is where you’ll find some of the tastiest food in Mexico, including Mole and the delicious hot chocolate which contains almonds and cinnamons. Check out Barrio de Xochimilco, where is a great place to browse the local farmers markets.

Kyoto, Japan

Planning a travel adventure in Japan? Sure, Tokyo is a must-visit, but you may not be aware that Kyoto has everything you could want in a Japanese trip. From traditional Geisha dancers to picturesque Buddhist temples, you’ll definitely get your fill of culture in Kyoto. Check out the amazing bullet trains which make it easy to travel around the country.

Ushuaia, Argentina

This town is located at the southernmost point of South America. This is why it’s the jumping-off point for a number of polar expeditions- even those to Antarctica. There are plenty of amazing cruises you can take to and from Argentina, so be sure to check out some cruise deals. Here, you’ll find the ‘end of the world’ museum where you can learn all about the history of the town. Most people visit Ushuaia to see the Tierra del Fuego National park which is known for its amazing forests and scenery.
