This might already be on your snack counter, but it’s good to know that giving your kids chocolate ain’t that bad. Dark chocolate contains Probiotics, vitamin A, and Zinc, and sometimes Calcium. Do keep in mind to eat in moderation, as too much chocolate might cause toothache.
Fruits
This might also be on your snack bar already. Just make sure to clean them thoroughly, as they could be contaminated if you bought some recently from a grocery store. Most fruits have many nutrients in it, and they also contain enzymes which help in food digestion. 1 to 2 servings of fruits everyday would go a long way. You can add a yoghurt dip, which makes them more delicious.
Nuts
Different kinds of nuts like almonds, macadamian, cashews, and peanuts are some examples of nuts. Nuts are rich in Zinc, which is good for the immune system, plus they are easy to nibble on, kids would love it if you have a bag or 2 of it on your snack bar.
Sweet Potato
Sweet potatoes contain beta carotene, which is good for our eyes and skin, as it becomes vitamin A when we eat it. The best sweet potato snack is by chopping it like french fries, dipping it to caramel, and deep frying it. You can serve it with a creamy dip, or just straight up eat them after cooking.
Egg Tarts
Eggs tarts are sweet, soft, and rich in protein, which helps build up muscles and strengthens our body. Kids need a lot of energy for playing and moving around, so egg tarts could be a source of quick energy boost, plus they are easy to make. You can find a lot of different recipes online, here’s one.
Yogurt
Sweet dairy product that is suited best for hot and humid summer afternoons. Kids would totally enjoy yogurt as it is sweet, can be mixed with different flavors, plus it contains probiotics and calcium that helps in boosting the immune system.
