Going up? Famous lifts from the silver screen

Remember the famous Aerosmith song, love in an elevator? In popular culture, lifts are a common setting for all kinds of romance, murder and mayhem. The tight, confined space of an elevator has given birth to some of the most memorable scenes in film history.

Whether it’s jetting through a roof in a glass elevator in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or a close quarters fight to the death in a lift in Die Hard With a Vengeance, there are some scenes that are truly unforgettable.
