New and used car dealership Motorparks is offering a helping hand to drivers to ensure they can quickly and easily work out just how much their vehicle is costing them.
With the launch of their handy Motoring Costs Calculator, you can find out details like:
- The price you currently pay in to fill your vehicle’s tank.
- The average insurance premium is for your car.
- How much it will cost you to apply breakdown cover to your motor.
As well as using it to determine how much your current car is costing you, you can also use the tool to find out if they are cheaper options available to you.
The calculator will prove useful when you consider the latest figures from RAC Fuel Watch, which revealed that the average price of petrol in June was 112.17p per litre. Likewise, drivers with a diesel-powered vehicle are faced with an average price of 112.39p per litre.
Looking at the statistics, RAC Fuel Watch fuel spokesman Simon Williams acknowledged: “Filling up with unleaded is now £5.64 more expensive, which is enough to make an unpleasant dent in household budgets up and down the country, especially for those who have more than one car or need to fill up regularly.”
Regularly drive in London? Then you will want to take note of London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s recent announcement that a new £10 emissions charge is being introduced to the capital in 2017.
Auto Express acknowledged that the toxicity levy — deemed a T-charge — will apply to both petrol and diesel vehicles which have pre-Euro 4 emissions standards. It will also be introduced as an addition to the £11.50 congestion charge that already exists across the city.
