Make Mobile Security a Priority

By Dean Shaw · On June 28, 2017

Mobile phone security should be a top priority for anyone and in any setting. However, mobile security is a high priority for businesses, as there are major concerns for cyber safety and the use of mobile devices in businesses. Many businesses and companies are now using mobile devices such as tablets, external hard drives, USBs, smart phones, social media, etc. to successfully keep their businesses afloat. However, such prominent use of mobile devices can mean that information can be hacked or leaked easier than ever.

Hackers are now getting more creative in their means of gaining information by hacking into mobile phones or installing malware and viruses in order to gain access to information for their personal gain. It is because of these risks that all business owners should understand the importance of an antivirus and how to make mobile security a priority.

Know the Risks

Mobile security risks will typically occur by means of hackers gaining access to smartphones by installing malware. This can be accomplished by making phone users believe they are making purchases through trusted sites that are actually fake sites or installing malware or a virus unbeknownst to the user. Hackers can also now gain access to mobile phones by simply making one phone call to the user in which the user answers a few simple questions and their voice is recorded for future use to access secure information.  Downloading apps from untrusted sites is also a security risk.

Know how to Protect

Downloading a mobile antivirus is the best way to protect your business and employees from mobile security risks. Android offers a free app in the AVG antivirus app that can provide effective, easy malware protection. The app also offers task killer, phone locator, call blocker, app lock, and Wi-Fi Scanner/Analyzer/Protector to shield your mobile devices from infection. AVG antivirus is the best Android antivirus available and can help keep your business or personal mobile devices safe and secure.
